People don’t set out to become addicted to drugs and alcohol. They don’t start their day with the goal of burning down relationships and isolating themselves. Addiction is cunning, baffling, and powerful. It creeps in the back door disguised as a growing personal crisis until the only relief is found in a bottle or substance. We don’t know why some people become addicted, and others don’t. But there is hope. We are here to start you off on your road to lasting recovery. Our programs are designed to lay a solid foundation on which happy and purposeful lives may be built. Give us a Call (800) 372-8809
“From the moment I was met at the airport I felt that I was treated with respect and love. When I got off that plane I was feeling like garbage, but I was treated like a human being. I think that it what made me want to stay and see the program through. These people understood me, and the way my mind works. Counselors were with me every step of the way, through from really tough sessions. But I finally broke through and saw my part in a lot of the programs of my life. The home was very comfortable and clean and the food was amazing! For being such a difficult time in my life it was the best experience I could have hope for.”

Detoxing from drugs and alcohol is an unpleasant experience. Operating for long periods of time with ultra high levels of neurotransmitters wide open is going to mean a sharp come down period. There is no free lunch neurologically speaking.
It is best to detox in a safe and comfortable place with trained professionals. Withdrawal symptoms usually peak around day 2-3 and then start to subside. Our team of specialists are there to get you through this critical stage of recovery. Perseverance is key, you only have to do this once.
After the detoxification stage it is crucial to start building the new habits of recovery. Recovery programs include individual and group therapy sessions, 12-step or non 12-step meetings, group activities and family restoration sessions.
That feeling of isolation and self pity begin to fade away. During the rehab phase of recovery you will find your triggers and personal history to identify addictive patterns. Individual and group support provide the opportunity to make fundamental changes in your reaction to life. During and post rehab life will still happen, and recovery is all about finding a new perspective on the way we think about and process daily events.
Residential Rehab is a safe and comfortable place to break old habits and find a new design for living. But long term sobriety is the goal, and we can’t stay in rehab forever. Our post rehab recovery plans are the tools you need to grow in your sobriety. These tools include IOP programs, job search and resume coaching, and building a schedule for weekly group meetings.
“I just wanted to say thank you to the staff and everyone at Soul Sanctuary. I came across your program through my employer. I’m stoked to say it was God’s plan for me to come to Laguna Beach and get sober. Thank you Cindy, Debbie, Justin, Robin and everyone on staff there. All the nurses and counselors were so great to be with. I’ve never felt more supported and cared for this time in recovery. I loved all the group activities, especially yoga. I learned how to meditate and go within, which has given me a new perspective on life and how to handle it.”

“Amazing place to get sober! The staff, techs, counselors, owners, doctors were super accommodating and nice. I love this place. If you are looking for help, this is the place to go. They can help just about any situation and person who wants to beat their drug addiction. Some of my best friends were other patients that were in the house the same time as me. My heart goes out to everyone that works here. Thank you again guys!”

“I am so grateful I was able to heal at Soul Sanctuary. Just like it’s name, this was a safe and peaceful place for me to beat my addiction. The program is great. The staff are kind and caring, but still worked hard with me to find the source of my addition. They helped me to realize that a life of sobriety was worth living, and it’s beyond what I thought it ever could be.”
